"This painting investigates how material culture operates as a system of belief—how the objects we produce, consume, and discard encode the values, desires, and anxieties of the society that surrounds us. At the core of my work is exploring the mechanisms through which possessions function as social instruments: tools for signaling status, constructing taste, performing belonging, and organizing emotional life. This mode of thinking stages the everyday object not as inert matter, but as a site of ideological pressure, loaded with meaning, tethered to systems of power, and saturated with contradiction."
