Ella Jackson grew up in Dorset, later attending Central Saint Martins and graduating in 2023 with a BA in Fine Art. In 2023 she was shortlisted as one of Saatchi Art’s Rising Stars and was one of two winners in the Bloomsbury Arts Festival. Later in 2025, she was shortlisted in the RBA Rising Stars programme with an exhibition in Mayfair, London. Ella has exhibited her work in several galleries in and outside of London, including Dark Yellow Dot, The Graduate Gallery and Milton Keynes gallery.

"My practice centres around storytelling and narrative. 'The Moth' is one of two iterations created from a scene in a story where the character’s eyes are covered by a moth whilst receiving prophetic dreams. I was drawn to this scene through the symbolisation of the moth - becoming the eyes of the character in her search for truth. This offered a composition that also looks into spiritualism and our relationship with nature."
