"When the moon is out III is a painting of a motive which seems to absorb me, as it keeps on reappearing on different paintings. The moon has become a really important part of my paintings as it is not only the light in which they are showered but also the space along with the night in which my characters habit.

-With night comes silence and loneliness, a certain atmosphere that only darkness and moonlight can unveil. It is a moment of solitude where thoughtfulness drifts into a state of nothingness, of simply being. A stillness in which you become as quiet and distant as the moon, shining high above."
