Kottie Paloma - Hybrid

These works were produced in my Los Angeles studio during the first three weeks of the pandemic when we were on lockdown. My neighbour had to close his oDice and lost all his clients, so he tossed out all the Dice materials he didn’t need during that time. I found around 200 manila folders in our shared trash can. I took them to my studio and ripped the envelopes in half, which gave me the perfect size to paint on. Painted in oil and are a reflection of the time we were in. Dark, moody, and sort of comical.
